According to a report, the ACC is leaning heavily towards adding a 14th all-sports member to replace Maryland. Connecticut and Louisville are rumored to be the favorites, but the league is also in talks with South Florida and Cincinnati.

On Monday, the University of Maryland Board of Regents voted unanimously to join the Big Ten as the conference's 13th member.

According to a report in today's New York Daily News, should Maryland leave the ACC for the Big Ten, the conference could reload with non-football members St. John's and Georgetown.

Aside from the whole "Temple in the West and Louisville in the East" thing, this probably makes about as much sense as the Big East ever will.

While it's unclear how the scheduling will work and for how long Notre Dame holds out on going all-in with its football program, as it stands now, BC will likely have seen the last of Georgia Tech for another six years or so.

What if the ACC made a Georgia Tech for Boston College swap, sending the Jackets to the Atlantic Division and the Eagles to the Coastal?
