Boston College Football: Get To Know The Dudes - #57, DL Jack Cottrell

Better know this redshirted freshman, defensive linemen Jack Cottrell

Name: Jack Cottrell

Position: Defensive Linemen

Number: #57

Year: Redshirt Freshman

Height: 6-foot-4

Weight: 239 lbs.

Hometown: Edie Prairie

High School: Edie Prairie

2013 Stats: Redshirt

2014 Projections: The defensive line is razor thin in terms of depth, so there is the possibility of Cottrell seeing some playing time this year. It will be interesting to see how he picks up the position because he was mainly a linebacker in high school. He most likely would slot in on the end give his size.

How'd He Get Here: Jack was a 3* linebacker of Edie Prairie who selected the Eagles over North Dakota.

Twitter Feed: Negative

Tweetable: N/A

Uniform History: The #57 doesn't have much of a history with the Eagles. Richard Hardy a guard, was the first to wear it from 1924-27. Interestingly a quarterback Ralph Nash wore it in 1940 & 1941. Nick Larkin, a defensive end during the Matt Ryan years wore #57.. And most recently long snapper Sean Flaherty wore it from 2009-2012.
