Uniform History: Pete Cronan, an inside linebacker in 1977 wore #56, before he went on to become one of the radio announcers we here every week for Boston College football. Kevin Pearson, a very good linebacker wore the #56 during his times at the Heights in the early 90s. Current Boston College running backs coach and recruiting extraordinaire Al Washington wore it as a defensive tackle with the Eagles. Max Holloway a defensive end wore #56 before leaving the Eagles early for the NFL draft, a move that didn't seem to work out for him.
