The fence continues to go up around Massachusetts as Steve Addazio scored his 11th verbal commitment for the 2014 recruiting class season. This time it was Dexter School (Brookline, Mass.) offensive tackle James Hendren.
Over the last few months the 6-foot-7, 278 pound tackle has made it clear that he was waiting for an offer from Boston College and that if they offered they would be his top choice. Hendren claims offers from Massachusetts, Harvard, Ohio, Old Dominion, Yale, Princeton and Rutgers. He could be receiving more offers after he competes in the US All American Army Bowl along with fellow BC commit Connor Strachan.
This move is an interesting move in another sense as well because BC was said to only have one more offensive lineman scholarship left. Does that mean that they are out of the running for Noah Beh? 247Sports recently changed their Crystal Ball prediction for Beh to Penn State, so he might be committing to the Nittany Lions after his visit this weekend.
No matter what happens with Beh, this is great news for Hendren and Boston College. He seems genuinely excited to be heading to BC, and with size like his he will get his chances to shine on the Heights.
Welcome to the Heights, James!
