150 years and condom-gate

This isn't exactly sports-related but don't think that the PR fallout has no impact on the perception of an institution. In the lead up to BC's 150th birthday (which is apparently recognized on April 1, 2013), the administration has apparently decided now was the time to crack down on a group that has been providing sex education materials (including free condoms). Regardless of your own personal morals or spiritual experience, is this a battle that needs to be fought immediately (especially in 2013)? My concern is that an administration that seems either out of touch with college students and their lifestyles or their naivete about how foolish taking such a stance looks will also not have the foresight to realize that investing in athletics infrastructure can actually create great national awareness of the instituition and the great things BC is about. The timing is embarassing.
