Steve Addazio Letter To Boston College Football Season Ticket Holders

Talk is cheap, I know. But I appreciated this, even if the use of the overuse of the Oxford comma irked me as an editor. Let's hope Addazio and the administration backs this up.

Dear Brian,

I am thrilled to write to you as the new head football coach of our Boston College Eagles. My staff and I have been working hard to recruit and prepare a game plan for spring camp. We are excited and focused on enhancing our football program and game day experience to "Heights" we all can be proud of. We will bring a passion and work ethic every day that will challenge and develop our student-athletes, staff, and coaches to excel and reach our full potential.

Our rich history and football tradition, combined with strong academics built on the Jesuit Catholic mission, are strengths we all value and can build upon within our dynamic campus in one of the greatest sports cities in the country. We understand the important role our fans play in creating this successful atmosphere year-round. Whether you're an alumnus, long-time season ticket holder or a college football fan who supports our Eagles, your support is vital to our success. You are an important part of our team and I look forward to seeing you back at Alumni Stadium in 2013 as we strive for an ACC Championship. We will play with an effort, toughness, and tenacity that will make you proud to be an Eagle.

Our exciting home schedule includes visits from perennial ACC rivals Florida State, NC State, Wake Forest, and Virginia Tech and non-conference opponents Stony Brook and Army. Dates will be announced as soon as the ACC releases the schedule. You will be receiving your renewal for your 2013 football season tickets in the coming weeks. Additional, our gameday team is looking at ways to enhance your experience and we appreciate all the feedback we have received so far.

As a season ticket holder, you are our most loyal fan and on behalf of our team, staff, and program we are grateful for your support and look forward to an exciting season. Together we will continue to strive with our motto "Ever to Excel" at the top of our hearts and minds.

Go Eagles!
