How To Beat BC: A Scouting Report Heading Into ACC Play (Heights Sports Blog)
The Boston College men’s basketball team is heading into conference play with an 8-5 record and a five-game winning streak. A lot more preparation goes into ACC matchups than non-conference games, and these are the main areas that the Eagles’ opponents should focus on in their scouting reports.

They also gave Baylor a serious run on a neutral court and beat middling high-majors Auburn, Penn State, and Providence, which is, in truth, a little more than most would've expected. They're not there yet and will likely have to spend one more year in the basement - hey, they lost to Bryant - but there are signs of life in Chestnut Hill.

The #5 women’s hockey team (11-3-2, 8-2-1 WHEA) will open up the second half of the season at #2 Clarkson on Thursday and St. Lawrence on Friday. Thursday’s game will mark the first of five January games against top 10 teams for the Eagles. BC is also slated to play at #9 Northeastern next Wednesday, #3 Cornell on Jan. 13, and a two game set at #7 Mercyhurst on Jan. 18-19.

Peabody’s Batchelor verbally commits to BC (SalemNews.com)
The 6-foot-3 Batchelor was recruited by the Eagles as a pitcher/catcher and hopes he’ll get a good look as a member of the team’s mound crew. He said BC coach Mike Gambino wants him as a pitcher, but if that doesn’t work out he would catch.
