First Brad Bates Town Hall Meeting Tonight

via Heights Sports Photo Editor Graham Beck

[Ed. note -- Front page'd]

Tonight at 5:30 PM prior to the tip off of the Miami basketball game, Brad Bates will hold the first of his two town hall style meetings in the Yawkey Center. The second meeting will be prior to the Clemson game on February 2.

Both sessions are "sold out" and it is sure to be an interesting take not only to see what Bates has to say, but what kind of questions will come out of the crowd and how direct in answering those will he be?

BC has long sat in the ivory tower of academia and really kept its business internal and I know that has frustrated a lot of people, myself included, through the years. What Bates will say and what he then addresses and perhaps what he commits to as either action items currently on his list or God forbid action items coming out of questions addressed at this meeting to me will be very interesting.

I will be in attendance at the meeting tonight and am really interested in your take on:

-- Will you be attending?
-- What questions would you ask if you could attend?

I have heard questions regarding future scheduling, renovation and expansion of Alumni Stadium and of course my personal pet question about how to address the status of Boston College athletics and football in general in the Boston market.

Let me know if I can get in more than one question or pin him against a wall after the fact ... I might try!
