Boston College Basketball Drubbed Against Valencia, 93-66

[Ed. note -- Front Page'd]

BC was facing their best team of the trip by far.

The result was expected.

BC was drubbed against Valencia, 93-66. Valencia plays in Spain's top league, which they finished 4th in. And it showed.

BC was again led by the frontcourt duo of Dennis Clifford and Ryan Anderson, who scored 15 and 12 points, respectively. Clifford also grabbed 8 rebounds while Anderson had 6. Danny Rubin, who has actually been very good in Spain, contributed 10 points.

The freshmen stepped up today as well, as Joe Rahon had 11 points and 3 rebounds and Olivier Hanlan had 8 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.

Valencia made everything in the first quarter, leading 24-10 after the first quarter. BC would respond and go on an 11-2 run to cut the lead to 5 at 26-21. But Valencia then went on a 10-0 run of their own, and a 10-1 run in the 3rd quarter put the game out of reach.

BC looks to bounce back as they face Regal Barcelona, who played at a level 2 spots lower than Valencia but a spot higher than the first 2 teams BC faced.

Go Eagles!
