The next Round of 16 matchup in our Ultimate Boston College Football Game series pits Group F winner, the 2003 win over Virginia Tech, against the Pool E runner-up, cancer survivor Mark Herzlich's comeback game to open the 2010 season.

BC's victory over Virginia Tech in 2003 was only the Eagles' second ever win in Blacksburg, joining the 1995 20-14 victory. With Matt Ryan's late game heroics four years later, the Eagles notched their third road victory in the all-time series. In all, BC is 3-6 on the road and 3-6 at home vs. the Hokies.
