The Boston College softball team finished the regular season taking one of three from the No. 20 ranked North Carolina Tar Heels to finish the year with an overall record of 23-29, 3-18 in ACC play. Softball's three ACC wins came over Virginia (10-4), Virginia Tech (5-4) and North Carolina (4-3), all at home. The team finished 3-9 at home in conference play but winless on the road (0-9).
With the regular season complete, the Eagles earned an eight seed in this weekend's ACC Softball Championship in Chapel Hill and will face the same Tar Heel squad in the quarterfinals. North Carolina (40-12, 13-4) grabbed the tournament's top seed after taking two of three from the Eagles up in Chestnut Hill this weekend. The Tar Heels and Eagles will face one another this Thursday, May 10 at 5 PM. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
