Sporting News Says Frank Spaziani Worst In ACC

Stay connected for news and updates

Frank Spaziani is the worst football coach in the ACC, according to Steve Greenberg of The Sporting News. Yes, worse than Duke's David Cutcliffe and Maryland's Randy Edsall.

12. Frank Spaziani, Boston College

Age: 65

2011 record: 4-8, 3-5 ACC

At Boston College (3-plus years): 20-19

FBS career: same

The Eagles were last in the ACC in total offense and scoring offense in 2011. Spaziani's defense was much better, which reflects well upon the guy who coordinated BC's defenses for 10 years until his promotion to the big chair. Spaz has "coordinator" written all over him, though.

Trending: Down. From 8-5 to 7-6 to 4-8. You do the math.

Does math on hand ... yeah, not good. But still, really? Worse than Randy Edsall? And David Cutcliffe? C'mon.

Virginia Tech's Frank Beamer got top billing in Greenberg's eyes, followed by Georgia Tech's Paul Johnson, Clemson's Dabo Swinney and Wake Forest's Jimbo Fisher.
