Report: Bowen Holden Out As Boston College Women's Lacrosse Coach

Stay connected for news and updates

According to a report in Lax Power, Boston College women's lacrosse coach Bowen Holden is no longer with the program.

Although Boston College has yet to issue a statement, Bowen Holden is no longer with the program according to the New England Lacrosse Journal, and her name doesn't even appear on the Eagles' 2012 roster.

If the report is true, Holden leaves the Heights after seven seasons, having compiled an overall record of 64-60 but just a 7-28 conference record in the uber-competitive ACC. Holden's 2010 and 2011 teams share the school record for most wins in a season (12), while the 2011 team made the program's first ever trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Bowen was hired in August 2005 and came to BC from Georgetown, where she served as associate head coach. Her Twitter account (@bccoach_holden) has since been deleted and her name no longer appears on the program's roster over at bceagles.com.

Will be interesting to see whether this report is true and what any statement by the school will say.
