O hay guys, I just won a National Championship last month. Now I'm just chillin. Whatevs.
The 2012 NHL playoffs might as well be called "Troll So Hard: Boston College Edition."
In keeping with what has become quite the spring for BC Hockey fans, there are now more Boston College hockey alums than teams remaining in the playoffs. Five BC Hockey players lead the four remaining NHL teams in their run for the Stanley Cup:
Chris Kreider, BC '12 -- New York Rangers
Brian Boyle, BC '07 -- New York Rangers
Stephen Gionta, BC '06 -- New Jersey Devils
Peter Harrold, BC '06 -- New Jersey Devils
Rob Scuderi, BC '01 -- Los Angeles Kings
Kreider, of course, isn't technically an alum yet, as I believe he will have enough credits to graduate after this summer. But let's not go splitting hairs here.
What couple of months it's been. Starting with the Beanpot in February, BC hockey players and alums can't seem to play in a tournament without getting some kind of hardware. Beanpot, Hockey East Regular Season, Hockey East Tournament, National Championship, and now a 75% chance of winning the Stanley Cup? Hell, even Cam Atkinson is playing for Team USA in the IIHF World Championships right now.
Troll on, BC Hockey. Troll on.
