Boston College junior guard Matt Humphrey is transferring, source told CBSSports. Humphrey will graduate and be able to play ASAP.

Well then.
Wow. This is bad. First of all, Humphrey was probably this team's best guy at going to the basket, and he is a solid shooter.
With him gone, BC's lineup next year could be Daniels, Jackson, Heckmann, Anderson, and Clifford. That lineup is not going to win you a lot of games. Unless BC snags a recruit (Jordan Tebbutt maybe?) or a transfer that can play right away, this team might have no wing that can go to the basket, unless Patrick Heckmann dramatically improves.
This does open up a scholarship, and that can be used towards a recruit or transfer. There are plenty of wings on the market, however, and BC has been rumored to be going after 2 transfers (Alex Dragevich from Notre Dame and Gerard Coleman from PC) and Jordan Tebbutt, a recruit.
This isn't all bad, however. Let's not forget that Humphrey didn't take the best shots a lot and settled for 3 pointers way too much. He will be missed, however, for his very good defense, solid athletic ability, and 3 point shot.
