Game 1: Boston College 1, Wake Forest 0
Game 2: Boston College 6, Wake Forest 1
Game 3: Boston College 9, Wake Forest 5
Birdball overcame deficits of 2-1 and 3-2 on Sunday to beat Wake Forest 9-5 and complete the three-game sweep. The three wins couldn't have come at a better time as the Eagles jump right back into the ACC Baseball Championship picture. With the series sweep, Boston College improves to 19-26 overall and 9-15 in the ACC.
The ACC sweep marked the first for the Eagles since the 2010 season (Wake Forest and N.C. State) and the first for second-year coach Mike Gambino. A nice change of pace.
Here's how the ACC Tournament picture shapes up.
1. Florida State (19-2) -- Atlantic Division leader

BC is now a game back of pulling even with the Yellow Jackets and Hokies for the final two spots in the 2012 ACC Baseball Championship. The good news is that BC gets three against last place Duke at home to end the season. The bad news is that the Eagles first have to travel to Chapel Hill this weekend to take on the Coastal Division-leading Tar Heels. BC has won just one of its nine ACC games on the road this season (1-11), while going 8-4 at home.
This week, the Eagles face Northeastern on Tuesday in the Beanpot Consolation before traveling to Chapel Hill to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels in a critical three-game set.
