BU 3, Harvard 1

Drawing Harvard is like a first round bye to the title game these days.

Haha, very true

I thought BU’s effort was very lousy. What is also lousy are the trolls that NESN employs. Did any of you see Jameson Coyle ask Ken Hodge if he is sticking around for the Boston College/Northeastern game? Yes you idiot, he is part of the radio broadcast. Maybe Blauds is his cousin.

NESN’s coverage is really poor imo.

by Brian Favat on Feb 6, 2012 8:36 PM EST up reply actions

It’s not baseball season, what do you expect? Anything non Sox related is just filler material for them, and is treated as such.

by DShook on Feb 6, 2012 9:49 PM EST up reply actions

Hey now

NESN’s Bruins coverage is exceptional. Don’t hate!

1-0 Eagles

Paul Carey with the goal, assisted by Gaudreau and Mullane!

Did NU have a goal taken away? Following on Twitter is very frustrating.

by hoyaeagle on Feb 6, 2012 8:46 PM EST up reply actions

No, looks like 2-1. Northeastern scored on the PP.

by Brian Favat on Feb 6, 2012 8:48 PM EST up reply actions

Gotcha… any online link to watch?

by hoyaeagle on Feb 6, 2012 8:49 PM EST up reply actions

FYI

Yes, NU had a goal “taken away,” sort of. NU player took a shot just as offsides was being called. The goal was never a goal, wasn’t even reviewed. But it was in the net and some NU fans started celebrating (hard to hear the whistle, it was the opposite end of the ice from their student section).

Need to pick it up

Up 2-1 and it clearly could be 3-0..really bogus call on Whitney that lead to the 2 man advantage, but NU looks more active and more engaged overall.

BC with lots of scoring chances, good first period for the Eagles.

This might be a stupid question

If BC wins, does the win count towards the HE standings?

by bcflog on Feb 6, 2012 9:40 PM EST reply actions

Nope. Considered a non-conference game.

And not a stupid question.

by Brian Favat on Feb 6, 2012 9:42 PM EST up reply actions

It doesn’t even count to their overall record, right?

by hoyaeagle on Feb 6, 2012 9:46 PM EST up reply actions

Overall yes, HE = No!

by BCEagle74 on Feb 6, 2012 9:49 PM EST up reply actions

Then does it not get factored into their NCAA seeding? I thought there was something along these lines. Could be wrong.

by hoyaeagle on Feb 6, 2012 9:52 PM EST up reply actions

Hoya

I am sure it all gets factored, by BC has a chance for Worcester or Bridgeport.

1 or 2 seed and then just find the hot goalie and shoot dat pucka nd score dat goal!!

by BCEagle74 on Feb 6, 2012 9:54 PM EST up reply actions

Counts. Not an exhibition game.

by Brian Favat on Feb 6, 2012 9:55 PM EST up reply actions

Counts towards overall record, PWR and NCAA Tournament resume numbers, yes.

by Brian Favat on Feb 6, 2012 9:54 PM EST up reply actions

Ok thanks for the clarification Brian and 74. Appreciate it. Don’t know why I thought that.

by hoyaeagle on Feb 6, 2012 9:55 PM EST up reply actions

Hoya

You had a spaz-o-matic attack. It happens to all those under 55.

Tomorrow, have a hot calzone for lunch, a nice glass of chianti for dinner, and the symptoms for this stay away until September.
