BC is playing a much faster pace today. Donahue must think they can run with VT. Can’t complain with the results so far.

Caudill comes across to me as more of a football type. He doesn’t move well enough to play basketball. Dude busts his ass though. I’ve gotta give him that.

I love those gold pullovers with Eagles on Front and BC on back
Them and the hockey uni’s in gold and you got your only 2 outfits your need in life.
Get the ball to BMD in the blocks and let him spin to the hole
We have established some outside snipers and now we need some inside muscle!
Yes, Anderson is way quicker and more lethal
Agree, but that big lug down low is a space eater and we need a big center or ….3!
LOL!
Look at the life!!, hustle!! and team unity!!
I’ll say it again, Sd was a huge grand Slam for Gene.
These guys are a nice team and look like they love playing for each other.
Two years ago, we had ZOMBIES!

I think this team is gonna be really good in a few years.
Especially if we can bring in a shooter.

his confidence is what makes him necessary for a team like this… sometimes he’s the only one willing to drive to make something happen, and sometimes he just pulls up with 28 seconds left on the shot clock with someone in his face
I really think Humphrey’s coming into his own. He’s going to be clutch next year.

we have some real good players...a few who are going to be top level div 1 athletes in a couple of years
anderson
clifford
daniels (i know he’s short but look at gerry mcnamara)
maybe lonnie jackson
Gotta be patient with Heckmann too. He started off strong, and then got hammered with injuries and mono. A healthy Heckmann could be a big contributor next season.

BC is really taking VT to the wire
This being the first game I was able to watch this weekend, I expected a blow out and started on the bourbon hard to start this game. At half I figured it was an aboration, and that VT would come out and blow them away. However with 3 minutes left, Donahue has this team fighting hard to maintain its lead, and they are taking good shots to win. I’m impressed with BC so far.
Don't give up, don't ever give up ~ Jim Valvano
The ball movement down low is amazing. Bounce passes down low that lead to easy dunks were unheard of 10 games ago.
Team is playing with a ton more confidence.

and 2 for Clifford
also inexcusable… that’s the part of the game he needs to improve at the most, the blame needs to go more on his shoulders than daniels who did his job of orchestrating the offense beautifully

So much better...yet such a tough way to lose
This team has improved immensely from the start of the season. There were long stretches of real cohesiveness, crisp ball movement and confidence particularly at the offensive end that were not that even a month ago. Unfortunately, their lack of physicality and lack of focus on rebounding the defensive end of the floor obviously cost them the game.
By the way, my guess is that they don’t do many if any pure rebounding drills..almost no one at the collegiate level does. If anyone taped the game, take a look and see if either team boxes out..it just doesn’t happen. It’s a jumping and strength contest and nothing more.
If Donahue takes one thing away from tonight, it should be that they need to be treated more like a high school team (or Tom Izzo and Michigan State) and go back to fundamental rebounding drills. Now I can’t say with 100% certainty, but I bet there is too much of a fear of injury to really go to war in practice and focus on rebounding and most of these kids simply didn’t need to do it at the high school level either, because they were physically dominant over their competition.
Clearly this team has come a long way, now focus on positional rebounding and toughness to overcome physical deficiencies and we’ve got something going.

Coach JF
U got me so pumped I just boxed out my wife from her Valentine’s chocolates and took a charge.
Thanks for another excellent analysis.
I hate losing. We will bury these filthy birds in the Tourney.
No one is going to want to play this team in the ACC Tournament. Virginia / N.C. State / Miami / Maryland is going to have a handful with this squad.
Editor, BC Interruption
This game pissed me off sooooo much!
And the fact that we were the better team and that VT was talking all kinds of shit irritated me more. Maybe we will play them again in the 8/9 game in the Tournament.
If we couldve won tonight and Wednesday we would have had a great crowd on hand and the team would have lots of momentum heading into next weeks game against Duke. If we lose Wednesday expect no energy at Conte and a long game for us against Duke next Sunday night.

Don’t sweat the trash talk. It’s clear that Donahue has this team on the right path while in my opinion, Greenberg missed his window of opportunity with this program.
I’m confidently taking Donahue and BC over the next three years over Greenberg and Tech 10 out of 10 times.
Editor, BC Interruption
Just wanted to say that while I was heartbroken by this loss, I am so proud of this team and what they’ve done this year. I still remember watching them play that exhibition against AIC, looking like a middle school team. This is a completely different team. No one expected them to compete in this many ACC games. I have 100% confidence in Donahue and I am so excited for the next couple years.

Yeah. I would like to go back and look at some of the things people were saying about the team after games like Holy Cross, Umass, BU…. I just enjoy so much watching them get better and better.

I think we can get a win Thursday night
Maryland is struggling, if we play like we did tonight I think we will finally be leaving an away teams venue as winners, shouldve won tonight though. There was a foul on the play that lost us the game, one of our guys got thrown on the floor.
