The 2013 World Junior Hockey Championship gets underway tomorrow in Ufa, Russia. Johnny Gaudreau and the rest of the US team will have the day off; they kick off their quest for a medal on Thursday.
Tomorrow's schedule:
2:30 AM: Finland vs. Latvia
4:30 AM: Canada vs. Germany - live on NHL Network. This is the first game for the US's group, Group B. Boston Bruins draft pick Malcolm Subban will be the starting goalie for Canada.
7:00 AM: Sweden vs. Czech Republic - Sweden kicks off its title defense against the Czechs.
9:00 AM: Russia vs. Slovakia - live on NHL Network. The debut of the host nation, winners of silver and gold medals in the past two World Juniors. This is also a Group B game.
