Boston College's senior Associate Athletics Director of Business Operations will leave the department and be named the next Athletics Director at the University of Delaware.
Boston College's Senior Associate Athletics Director of Business Operations Eric Ziady is expected to be named the Athletic Director at the University of Delaware today. The school will announce the hiring at a press conference at 12:30 PM today.
Ziady has been with Boston College athletics since 1998, overseeing the daily and long-term fiscal operations and several sports, including football, men's and women's golf and men's and women's sailing. He was also charged with football game scheduling and contract administration and is credited with negotiating the school's six-year, multi-million dollar sponsorship agreement with Under Armour. Delaware is also an Under Armour school.
Prior to his stint at BC, Ziady spent nine years at Northeastern University, the last four as assistant athletics director. He is a 1988 Providence College graduate and holds an MS and MBA from Northeastern.
