Only three bowl games remain in the 2011-12 college football postseason. Sad face?
Here are our picks for week 4. I'm currently 19-13 ATS, earning three bonus points for a total of 22 points. Jeff is 15-17 ATS with four bonus points for a total of 19 points.
Point spreads matter.
| Date | Bowl Game And Matchup | Jeff | Brian | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jan. 7 | BBVA Compass Bowl | Pittsburgh (-3.5) vs. SMU | Pittsburgh | Pittsburgh |
| Jan. 8 | GoDaddy.com Bowl | Northern Illinois vs. Arkansas State (-1) | Northern Illinois | Northern Illinois |
| Jan. 9 | National Championship Game | LSU (-1) vs. Alabama | LSU | Alabama |
Bonus picks:
Brian:
5. LSU vs. Alabama (+1). Jeff's all out of bonus picks but I have one left. And I'm going with Alabama in the BCS National Championship Game. By all accounts except for the final score (minor detail, right?), Alabama was the better team back on November 5. However, the Crimson Tide was done in by four missed field goals and an interception at the LSU 1. I'll also take Nick Saban in the big game over Les Miles.
It's wishful thinking, but I hope Alabama wins in a close one and the rogue AP voters actually do vote for LSU as the National Champion. Rooting interest: chaos. Always chaos.
Roll tide.
