BC has to out rebound Miami and shut down Durand Scott the best they can.

I don’t know why Rubin is on the court if he’s not going to shoot open threes.

Nice move Anderson.

by hoyaeagle on Jan 29, 2012 1:22 PM EST reply actions

I’ll be happy to see BC ditch Miami basketball as a permanent scheduling partner. These games do nothing for attendance. BC and Miami are two of the worst in the ACC in terms of attendance.

Give me a second game against Syracuse and Pittsburgh over Miami and Virginia Tech any day.

by Brian Favat on Jan 29, 2012 1:25 PM EST reply actions

Would hurt our conference record over the long-haul.

by hoyaeagle on Jan 29, 2012 1:26 PM EST up reply actions

Not if we are going to be a top 4 team in the ACC in a few years … / Cory Alexander’d

by Brian Favat on Jan 29, 2012 1:27 PM EST up reply actions

Two games against Syracuse and Pitt would certainly help attendance. Can’t get much worse anyway.

by Brian Favat on Jan 29, 2012 1:29 PM EST up reply actions

I would hope, but the students are so apathetic it might not.

by hoyaeagle on Jan 29, 2012 1:31 PM EST up reply actions

i can count on my fingers the amount of student in the student section

by bloomsday16 on Jan 29, 2012 1:27 PM EST up reply actions

Miami hoops is a terrible draw. No one cares about Miami basketball in Coral Gables, let alone Boston.

by Brian Favat on Jan 29, 2012 1:27 PM EST up reply actions

It’s an artificial basketball rivalry based on our shared football past.

by Brian Favat on Jan 29, 2012 1:28 PM EST up reply actions

Winning 13 consecutive games, then losing 5 of last 7 also doesn’t help cultivate any sort of rivalry.

by Brian Favat on Jan 29, 2012 1:31 PM EST up reply actions

Green Pukes

Let them chuck form the outside, but get a hand in their face.

I wanna see BC run the offense through Clifford every set and have him pass it out if he is not open and set him down low in the lane.

The guy is freaking huge!

Crash those boards!

This is Miami.

“You just have to understand and trust us that this BC student basketball attendance is headed in the right way.”

by Brian Favat on Jan 29, 2012 1:40 PM EST up reply actions

its unbelieveable

9,000 undergrad body and there might be 100 students at this game

by bloomsday16 on Jan 29, 2012 1:40 PM EST up reply actions

It’s not even nerdification or more studying. Look at the hockey games.

Student body isn’t going to support a losing program. End of story.

by Brian Favat on Jan 29, 2012 1:41 PM EST up reply actions

Hockey also has a 10x better student seating section. The seats under the basket are lame and having the two sections separated isn’t helping either.

by Brian Favat on Jan 29, 2012 1:43 PM EST up reply actions

If we wanted to do it right, we’d figure out a way to take a section of the maroon seats in the lower bowl and carve out a student section that spans the seats and a portion of the ice rink.

But that would mean eliminating some DBS, which isn’t happening.

by Brian Favat on Jan 29, 2012 1:45 PM EST up reply actions

Been saying that we should have the students be on the sidelines on the TV side like Duke.

Will never happen though.

where are the Moton haters? kid gives good minutes off the bench and solid defender!

by BCEaglesFAN3 on Jan 29, 2012 1:43 PM EST reply actions

Since ACC play has started, Moton has upped his game.

Boston College, Class of 2010

by polarbearbrother on Jan 29, 2012 1:45 PM EST up reply actions

I don’t hate Moton. There are plenty of other kids coming off the bench that should get fewer minutes.

by BCEaglesFAN3 on Jan 29, 2012 1:48 PM EST reply actions

no heckmann

are we giving up on him or are his injuries getting worse… don put in about everyone else and their mother that half

by bloomsday16 on Jan 29, 2012 1:49 PM EST reply actions

Think this is a combo of both. Get a little healthier and learn that TOs aren’t acceptable.

by hoyaeagle on Jan 29, 2012 1:51 PM EST up reply actions

we never limit jackson’s time because of them

by bloomsday16 on Jan 29, 2012 1:57 PM EST up reply actions

Heckmann is much worse.

by hoyaeagle on Jan 29, 2012 1:59 PM EST up reply actions

We also don’t limit Humphrey for having a FG% that hovers around the Mendoza line.

by Brian Favat on Jan 29, 2012 2:00 PM EST up reply actions

He’s improved his shooting % and decision making over the course of the season.

Heckmann hasn’t improved his TOs. It’s actually gotten worse.

by hoyaeagle on Jan 29, 2012 2:04 PM EST up reply actions

Humphrey improving his FG% over the year is a highly questionable claim. Think it’s been more up and down more than anything.

Shot 25% last game iirc.

by Brian Favat on Jan 29, 2012 2:06 PM EST up reply actions

25% might be an improvement for him.

I’m rather impressed with our freshmen. It’s not easy to go from the West Coast to the East Coast, or from across the Atlantic, and adjust to freshmen year. Add playing on the major sport, and it can be difficult.
