Boston College Football Recruit Jaxon Hood Will Announce Decision Wednesday On FS Arizona

Hamilton High School (Chandler, Arizona) defensive tackle Jaxon Hood verbally committed to play for Boston College back in December. However, the 3* DT recently re-opened his recruitment and is now deciding between BC, the Arizona Wildcats and Arizona State Sun Devils.

Since visiting BC back on November 11, Hood has since made official visits to both Arizona (January 13) and Arizona State (January 20). After returning from Tempe, Hood described his ASU visit as "phenomenal."

Jaxon's older brother Tevin Hood, a former Duke defensive lineman, recently announced that he will be transferring to Arizona after spending a year at the University of San Diego, though Jaxon has said this will have no effect on his final decision.

Hood is set to announce a final decision Wednesday on National Signing Day. His decision will be broadcast via webcast on Fox Sports ARIZONA at 12:45 PM Eastern / 9:45 AM Pacific. Will he spurn the local programs and re-commit to the Eagles, or will Hood join the growing list of players to de-commit from Boston College football's Class of 2012?

ASU Coeds

Phenomenal.

GDF: “Yo Spazoo, Yo Spazoo!! Did you call that kid from Arizona to firm that one up?”

Spazoo: “GDF, you took away my anytime minutes and said I could only call local now!”

Now GDF and Spazoo have made the greatest university in the Galaxy, the most embarrassing laughingstock of the Nation and we are located in BOSTON!!, not some dead end slopoke palookaville!!

I played some two-hand touch football the other day and was feeling pretty good. Someone tell Spaz I’ll be waiting for his call…

Murph -- you Wimp!

I was in the 2nd grade playground playing with the girls as the weekly volunteer monitor and dominated in nerf football!!

I was unstoppable after the cookies and milk snack.

Get lost Murph! Two handed touch? Really? Please!

What an asshole

Jaxon Hood sounds like a total asshole.

Kind of a pathetic high school version of LeBron….with the big announcement .

Really, a big announcement by a 3* recruit that iwas lightly recruited. What a joke little Jaxon is!!!

jaxon: Please do not pick BC.

Just part of the norm in recruiting these days. Tons of kids do it.

Maybe that is so for ESPN 150 types, but it does not happen with middle such middle 3* recruits like Jaxon

Actually it does. Maybe not on ESPNU or some of the all-star games but a lot of them do the whole “announcement” thing.

Keep in mind, this announcement isn’t even on TV. It’s on a webcast on a regional Fox Sports website. Plenty of guys do this these days.

However, the fact that his announcement is set for the same time as BC’s National Signing Day press conference, I tend to think that Hood will choose either UA or ASU over BC. BC typically likes to announce the class all at once as opposed to announcing every LOI as soon as they get faxed in.

Dislike the announcement, but I’m not gonna be picky with who chooses BC at this point.

You know Jaxon reads/comments on this board right?

Don't fret

There is no chance this publicity seeking showman is coming to BC.

But ASU is as screwed up as BC and they’re losing commits as badly as we are! I’d also bet BC bounces back faster than ASU. I guess the one difference is ASU is planning to spend their Pac-12 money like a drunken sailor on new facilities

Plus new, flashy Nike uniforms and a younger, more energetic, extremely dis-loyal HC … Basically, the anti-Spaz.

Rumors are circulating that he will attend UC Santa Barbara on a swimming scholarship.
