Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

Jagodzinski recorded a solid 20-8 record during two seasons as Boston College’s head coach (2007-08). He was fired after interviewing for the vacant Jets head coaching position and has spent time with the Buccaneers and worked as the head coach of the UFL’s Omaha Nighthawks in 2010. A significant concern if Jagodzinski is to land another head coaching job: He was not regarded as a strong recruiter during his time with Boston College.

I luv it
  1. Schiano gone will help BC ’s NJ recruiting
  2. Schiano leaving is strong evidence of weakness of BE (see below) (so sad!)
  3. Even mentioning Jags as a viable replacement for Schiano shows that RU is still dumb about sports

Per ESPN: “Schiano was intrigued by the challenge of coaching in the NFL and also was concerned about the perceived uncertainty of the future direction of the Big East Conference, a source told ESPN’s Joe Schad.”

Greg the Genius --Incredible Hire!!!

0-4 versus BC
0-3 versus Virginia Tech

0-21 vs. Big East Peer teams.

GOITS —

1.Schiano gone will help BC ’s NJ recruiting

Please. You think some kid is coming to play for BC now since Schiano is gone?

Another incredible.

Jags was 20-8. Spazoo is 20-19.

I said “help” recruiting in NJ, not “guarantee” recruiting success in NJ.

what is GOITS?

There’s only a short window of opportunity here for Spaz and BC. Should be pouncing on the current Rutgers recruiting class, especially the Don Bosco kids.

Spaz can earn his paycheck in the next 6 days if he lands some of these guys committed to Rutgers.

Think more than just Spaz will be after them… I want to be optimistic that he can but am not. Hope I am wrong.

I didn’t go on a rant on why fans (bloggers) are being too pessimistic, optimistic, realist, etc.

Jags Recruiting Record

I think that false perception card has been played so many times that one never knows since the 2008-2009 class and all the final work in late November and December was never finished due to the arrogant Gene DeFilippo monumental disaster level blunder ultimatum.

I hope that leather jacketed bad ass SOB with a confident swagger who took BC to 2 ACC Bunny Hops in two years and once with Chris Crane gets the job!

Jags also told Raheem to start Josh Freeman and was nixed and then fired. Raheem though he was Gruden and where is he now?

Good Luck you Lane field dancing guy!

Agreed he got a bad recruiting rep. Wasn’t the only coach fired by BC and smeared with the “gave up on recruiting” excuse.

by Brian Favat on Jan 26, 2012 3:18 PM EST up reply actions

Which is why the “gave up on recruiting” excuse planted by GDF was ridiculous. If you weren’t happy with the recruiting while Jags was here, the last thing you do is retain the recruiting coordinator (Siravo) from the previous coaching staff.

The “recruited poorly” justification for firing both Skinner and Jagodzinski is not speculation. In both cases, the message was clearly sent through the mainstream media.

The former came through loud and clear with the Bob Ryan piece in the Globe on Skinner. The latter is constantly thrown in our faces as an excuse for Spaz’s recruiting failures.

Bosco coach Greg Toal is already predicting doom and gloom for this year’s Rutgers class. Think it would be a failure not to land at least one of those guys.

BC Interruption just got a shout out on Around The Horn today, citing Rutgers having the second most players in the Super Bowl behind Boston College.

Thanks, Reali! Fruit basket is in the mail.

My Fellow Eagles

We should all be so lucky as to go

0-21
versus 4 peer teams and get a promotion to the NFL Millionaire’s club!

A weaker Rutgers helping BC??

Interesting analysis?

If we had Tom Coughlin as Head Coach now, then maybe a yes?

The proof will be on Signing Day if Spaz poaches that latest 4 star Rutgers or Penn State kid or others, but what makes you think a young team that went bowling and a new Coach, (who could be an upgrade, equal or not?), that RU can’t have a nice season and keep Rutgers at the same recruiting level which is now, spanking Spazoo and BC silly!

BC blogs have been all over the Jags recruiting excuse… and now Spazoo has had 4 straight low end classes………yet as many have drilled home one singular killer fact..AD NAUSEUM……..

Why is the Cheif Boob incompetent loser for recruiting Siravo here….. if in the first place…. and since 2008 so they preach……and with the last 3 classes …how has he survived with Jags gone 3 full seasons if he was part of the big problem?

As Cassius said when he was coaching the Thames Dragoons for owner Billy Shakes back in the first Julius Caesar Bowl at the Romanl Coliseum, (no retractable roof)…..

“The fault my dear Eagle Fans is in the Spazoo and his underlings and the low rated recruiting stars and not in the fans!”

BC Signing day is next week.

Just like the last 3 classes, my new turn of phase for this day the last 4 years…

SIGHING DAY FOR EAGLE NATION.

That old Jags recruiting card excuse was always like the graduation rate card and the weak race card by Lively….

PATHETIC!

Next week Eagles…which baggage car do you think Spazoo and crew are gonna load first on the 74 Excuse Train?

I bet you hear a lotta noise about this hiring round the NFL!!

Lots of highly qualified black candidates and how did Schiano slide through the process with his crap-ass record?

I bet you hear some valid complaints and NFL guys who were waiting and passed over being very pissed off.

Schiano hiring was very strange and a slap in the face of many black NFL assistants working their butts off!

This is no race card that our Steve Lively poorly played, this Schiano has a poor record.

The Bucs are a freaking joke.

Perhaps our first theft from Rutgers

We have a chance at getting another tight end. Not as good as Sam Grant who was the #18 tight end, but this guy is the #37 tight end which is still pretty darn good.
