I’m strangely optimistic about this game as well. Virginia Tech has a weak perimeter defense. Think BC puts forth best 3-point shooting performance of the season and goes on an ACC winning streak here.

Looks like it’ll be good weather for the game at Fenway. 31 degrees, feels like 20, with sun shining. I’m facing balmy 50 degree weather in the Bay area.

According to the Hokies Journal on Twitter (and really all over the twitterverse now), Green is likely to miss the game with an LCL sprain to his left knee. This would be a huge loss for the Hokies who are trying to claw their way into the ACC win column after starting conference play 0-2. For game coverage, follow me on Twitter @lunchpaild.

Wow.

That is blow for the Hokies. I don’t like feeling good about an athlete’s injury, but it bodes well for our guys. Hope Green can bounce back though.

This team isn't getting better...

The ACC is getting worse. This honestly looks like a bad high school game. Geez, how bad is our conference? FSU just beat UNC by almost 30!

by BCeagles on Jan 14, 2012 4:32 PM EST reply actions

3-bid league. 4 if we are lucky.

by Brian Favat on Jan 14, 2012 4:33 PM EST up reply actions

We were at UNC, FSU was at home.

by polarbearbrother on Jan 14, 2012 4:33 PM EST up reply actions

So, the fact that UNC was on the road means it’s acceptable to be run out of the building? That’s not the mark of a great team. And if UNC isn’t great, then what are we as a conference?

by BCeagles on Jan 14, 2012 4:35 PM EST up reply actions

Not necessarily defending UNC’s performance today, but you can’t say this team isn’t getting better. They clearly are progressing.

by polarbearbrother on Jan 14, 2012 4:36 PM EST up reply actions

I didn’t mean to take away from the progress of this team; they are getting better. But we honestly shouldn’t be able to beat Clemson and Virginia Tech with a team of BC-type freshmen.

by BCeagles on Jan 14, 2012 4:39 PM EST up reply actions

Not losing to FSU at home that season would have helped, too. If you put Ice’s season against this year’s competition, he gets an invite.

by BCeagles on Jan 14, 2012 4:48 PM EST up reply actions

Spaz’s defense needed to not get torrched by an awful Maryland team before heading to the DAC. There, I said it.

Quick Thoughts

1) Matt Humphrey is a bipolar player. He made some crucial mistakes mistakes, but made some great plays.
2) Moton isn’t flashy, but when he’s in, he gets the job done.
3) Clifford. I cannot wait to see him develop. His production today was great.
4) Donahue seems to be getting the best of out of what he has.

Team of the Week

ESPN weekly watch, show BC some love!

I’m also beginning to believe that if Clifford adds some bulk, finds himself a mean streak, and continues to develop then the Don might’ve found himself a pro in his first recruiting class. Long way to go, but he’s a legit 7 feet and is making plays already in conference . . . .

BC has two games on VA tech in conference. unbelievable
