Sacramento State football coach Marshall Sperbeck has turned the play calling over to new offensive coordinator Paul Peterson.
Sperbeck previously handled the offensive play calling since being hired in 2007.
Peterson arrives at Sacramento State from Southern Utah, where over the past four years he coached the Thunderbirds' quarterbacks and wide receivers and was the team's passing game coordinator.
The one-time Boston College quarterback coached three of the most decorated signal-callers in Southern Utah history, Cody Stone in 2008, Cade Cooper in 2009 and Brad Sorensen the past two years.
Southern Utah will move into the Big Sky Conference alongside Sacramento State next season.

Nice to see PP moving up the coaching ladder
Perhaps he’ll come back to BC to coach some day. He was a fun quarterback to watch.
One day the BC coaching staff is going to be every former Eagles signal caller.
Head Coach – Doug Flutie
Offensive Coordinator – Matt Ryan
QB Coach – Paul Petersen
Get the Hasselbecks and Foley involved too.

One of my favorite BC QBs of all time
Unfortunately, he’s a mountain time zone guy who I don’t think will ever come east and who the hell would want to work for Spaz?
Good luck Paul..Sure you will do a great job.
