NFL DRAFT THREAD
The only 3 teams with enough 2012 draft ammo to get Luck: All 3 teams have both their 2013 #1 and #2 picks for next year, so for 2012: 1--New England has two #1's (Saints) and two #2's (Raiders). 2--Cincinnati has two #1's (Raiders) and two #2's in 2013 (Raiders) 3--Cleveland has two #1's (Falcons). >>>>I doubt with drafting big Ryan Mallet that NE will trade up to Indy.... and there is always a healthy and still competitive Giselle Boy Toy in Tom Brady. 1,000,000-1 NE has so many other needs, they should use them all this year and get 4 stud players. >>>>Cincinnati is cheap, even with the new salary cap slotting for rookies and they cleaned Oakland to the bone with a 2012 #1 and a 2013 #2. Same here, my TCU boy Andy Dalton has shown a surprisingly strong arm and been very accurate, but 5 games to go and that tells the tale, but Cincy mad playoffs! Cincy can really build some talent with 2 extra high picks... >>>>That leaves my Cleveland Browns. The Browns can send both #1's in 2012 and a 2013 #1 next year or three (3) first round picks ---- and maybe add another 3rd or whatever and get Andrew Luck. I am looking for Super Bowl XLIX tickets now. Sorry but cut and paste doesn't let me make paragaphs!

Luke and Donnie Fletcher
As far as Luke came up even with that injury, Donnie Fletcher although injured some, dropped like a rock.
Actually he's projected by most in the 3-4 rounds.

McShay has him at 11.
CBS Sports at 10 or 13.
SB Nation at 15.
3-4 rounds? Nope.

Great Scenarios with Matt Flynn of GB
Albeit, MFlynn is in the GB machine system?
Flynn wants to go where he would be a surefire starter.
Browns? Vikes? Colts if Peyton is disabled? Redskins? Jags? Dolphins?
The Colts could restructure the $28M due Peyton, then get 3 picks for the 1—- Luck or RG3 pick -— and get a QB with the Browns 5 pick?
Colts would be better off with 2 extra picks at least.
So would the Rams.
Vikings were stupid last year with their pick at QB. Ponder was a nice pick, but he was round 2.
They might take RG3?
Lots of nice QB’s picks that have been shadowed by the LUCK hysteria. Go check the draft boards!
PART II:
Luke — the Pass Happy NFL Game at LB has changed.
1—BC rarely blitzed Luke which hurt his progression some - and thank God he had a pick 6 versus Miami, -—but BC also rarely dropped him into pass zone coverages.
Luke was a glue tackler and wrapped up. Rare in the NFL butt grab league now of ESPN highlight hitters!
If Luke shows some more speed in the combine, then he may go higher. With the new pass happy NFL, I still think Luke might slip into Round 2.
Every NFL team could use him!!!
He reminds me of that story from Jimmy Johnson when he was looking at film of Texas Tech and all he witnessed was a small Red Raider LB making every tackle and play.
JJ knew some guys have combine speed and some guys have football sense and speed.
That small, too slow guy was Zach Thomas who had one helluva career.
Donnie Fletcher needs to lose 20 pounds and work out well in the combine.
The Aaron Rogers treatment
Do the Colts dump Peyton Manning for Luck? Or do they draft Luck and let him learn under Manning?

$28 MILLION DUE PManning in March
I would re-work Peyton’s contract and unload the pick for 3 first rounders to the Browns and pick up a solid free agent back-up QB.
Then again, the Polians and Mannings were very, very tight, so the skids are greased for a no re-worked deal and release.
Then again a fused neck is a high risk situation?
I now think Peyton will not re-work his deal and be released, meaning my Browns have to deal with the Rams to get RG3.
Newton, Dalton, and other rookies now…that old learning curve is pretty much moot?
Gotta love the NFL Draft and Free Agency!
Agreed the Polians and Mannings are tight, but there’s got to be some fear factor here that Peyton will come back to haunt the Colts playing on another team. Or maybe not if the expectation is the Colts are largely non-competitive for a few years as they learn under Luck.

Brownies Looking at Matt Flynn --John Clayton ESPN Tonight!!
The Browns could snare a Top WR at the 4 hole and a OT at 22ish!
Jeffries or Blackmon will be there at 4.
Sign him Holgrem!!!
GO BROWNS!!
Andrew Luck Reported To Be A Indianapolis Colt
Browns now need Flynn or the Rams # 2 pick.
I would go with Flynn, the WR at # 4 and OL at where Falcons land.
28M as in MILLION as in $$$$$
Browns may have choice, but I would go with Flynn.
That fused neck is just too risky.
If I was Browns, I would use the Falcons pick and next year’s 1 and mayeb a 2 and try and get Rams 2 pick.
My Browns Fans Fantasy…
Flynn —FREE AGENT
Blackmon WR Oklahoma State at 4
Move up and get Trent Richardson.
Triplets.
SI says Browns trade up?
I still like my Flynn, then Trent Richardson at 4, and a WR at Falcons pick 22. Lots of WR’s this year.
TRIPLETS!
Maybe package Colt McCoy as backup to Houston/Dallas for a 3rd rounder?
2. Cleveland Browns — Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor (Trade with St. Louis)
The Rams don’t need a quarterback, but with a manageable price tag for rookies because of the salary slotting system, they’ll get calls from Cleveland, Miami and Washington about moving up to land Griffin. After last season’s draft-day trade with the Falcons, the Browns have an extra first-rounder and can put together the best package. Griffin may have more tools than Luck, but Luck is more valuable because he ran a pro system at Stanford. Griffin completed 72.4 percent of his passes, a dazzling number even in the defensively challenged Big 12. Cleveland ranked No. 29 in offense with Colt McCoy running the show and would likely be ready to hand the keys of the offense over to Griffin immediately. Pat Shurmur is a West Coast guy, but would adjust his system to suit Griffin’s talents if he had to.
Super Bowl Patriots --Reminder!
1—New England has two #1’s (Saints) and two #2’s (Raiders).
4/64 picks and they can reload huge!
Organization. Super Bowl Champions is the Goal.
I wish BC had this fierce mentality.
Patriots Need to Use their Picks!
And stop getting cute with the draft…
27-31-49-62-94
5 Picks in first 94, 4 in first 62!
Defensive Line, CB, OL, Big WR, RB
Redskins
To move up four spots in this year’s draft, they are trading away first-rounders in 2012, 2013 and 2014, as well as a second-rounder in 2012.
I was wrong, Snyder unloaded 3 1’s and a high 2.
Rams can do well building behind Bradford.
Boston College Ice Hockey!
Wow Peyton's Neck looking Much better?
Could be wrong about Flynn?
Go Browns!
I love when Irsay says it wsn’t about $28M. WOW!
Peyton was not just a QB!
Head Coach.
Offensive Coordinator.
Play Caller.
He is the greatest player in NFL history since Jimmy Brown.
Bring him to the Browns and use 4 and 22 to get help!
