Boston College Daily Links: Johnathan Coleman Media Blitz
Expectations on the rise for BC's Coleman (ESPN ACC Blog)
"We love Johnathan," Spaziani said. "He's a big, athletic receiver, he can run, he can catch. He was sort of a developmental kid when we first got him because of his background, which I don't need to go into here and those things. But he's got the athletic talent. We would have hoped that he would have broken through last year, but he's made tremendous strides this preseason, and really has improved.

"He was a project when he came here," said Spaziani. "He has a lot of athletic skills, he really has all the physical tools. I would have hoped last year he would have made more progress, but I guess in retrospect, he’s still learning. He’s had a wonderful preseason, and now he’s got an opportunity."

Boston College needs to be more physical (ESPN Boston)
"Yesterday was a great practice for us, seemed like we were jelling again like we had been. Getting back to where we feel comfortable," Richman said before practice Wednesday. "I think this will be a big week for us."

"Instincts, he has tremendous instincts," said Eagles coach Frank Spaziani. "We gave him this instruction - ‘that guy has the ball and you want it.' I don't think I can put my finger on how he does it."
Steven Daniels Plans to Stick With BC (Around The Res)
LB recruit Steven Daniels, who committed to BC last year, appears to have renewed his commitment to BC after spending a year at the Worcester Academy for academic purposes. Daniels, a four star recruit, probably received a fair amount of interest from other programs, but looks to add to BC's strong stable of LBs. If LK leaves for the draft this year, look for Daniels to step in for him.
ACC Weekend Preview, Sept. 9 (ACC Sports Journal)
Golden Knights 24, Eagles 16 – Williams is a more-than-adequate replacement and the BC defense will improve. But, the Eagles are going to be plagued by red zone issues on offense again.
No. 8 Men's Soccer Travels To No. 2 Maryland For ACC Opener (BCEagles.com)
Both Boston College and Maryland have started the season 4-0 heading into Friday's clash. The Eagles are looking for their first win in College Park since 2006.
#2 Maryland vs. #8 Boston College (ACC Season Opener) (Terrapin Station)
The Eagles are also coming of a convincing 2-0 blanking of #22 Dartmouth. Their national rise has been impressive after starting the season #25 before steadily climbing into the top ten. No doubt BC is looking for that signature win to let college soccer know they are a legitimate title contender and let’s face it a road win against the #2 Terps would do just that.

ESPN boston article was good.
Richman is saying the right things
“Yesterday was a great practice for us, seemed like we were jelling again like we had been. Getting back to where we feel comfortable,” Richman said before practice Wednesday. “I think this will be a big week for us. They’re fast, they’re very fast, definitely faster than Northwestern, but they’re smaller, too,” Richman said of the UCF defense. “If we come out real physical like we’ve known to be in the past, and just get bodies on bodies and try to run it up the middle on them, I think we can control them in that way.”
UCF head coach George O’Leary expects BC TO RUSH (surprise them Chase!).
“I think they’re a big, physical offensive line. They’ve got a good running back, I don’t know if Montel [Harris] is gonna play or not, but the other fella, [Andre] Williams, is a good player, No. 44, he’s a really good back.
Holloway wasn’t happy with the DL showing last week.
“Usually a lot of things that are written online, I’m like, ‘They have no idea what they’re talking about,’” he said. "But they were saying how we got kind of pushed around and we got beat up a little bit, and it was true.

Rettig
The clips of the offense made Rettig look very good. He has obvious very good arm stength and zips the ball to the sidelines. The defense clips made the d-line look good. There were no clips of the pass defense. That would be because that was where the problem was.
