Boston College Depth Chart For UMass Game

Boston College released its weekly depth chart and like their first three games there isn't much to report here. Lots of freshman movement on the second team. Nick Clancy is off the chart again, replaced by Josh Keyes. Also for the first time this year Sean Duggan is listed on the two deep. And Dave Shinskie is back on the depth chart, if anyone cares about the backup quarterback battle.

Mehdi Abdesmad is off the depth chart after an ineffective game against Duke. Also Sean Sylvia was left off after suffering a leg injury last weekend. Ted Thompson Davenport will be the backup safety.

Montel Harris and Kaleb Ramsey are still not listed, but there is a possibly that both could play this weekend

"Running back Montel Harris, who has not played yet this year because of a knee injury, is practicing for the second straight day while defensive tackle Kaleb Ramsey, who hasn't played since the first half of the Northwestern game due to a foot injury, is also practicing."

I don't know about the rest of you but at this point I am rooting hard that Montel Harris doesn't return this season. He needs a full season here for his final season, and he deserves much better than a nine game season in which BC is hovering in the basement of the ACC.  But the way Spaz has ran this team this year, I'd expect Montel out there Saturday.

What are the odds that Spaz pushes him to play just to try to save his job?

Jim, I thought the same thing. It’d be a shame to push Montel out there for 9 games just so Spaz can seize the faint glimmer of hope of keeping his job. Of course if Spaz thinks he’s going to get canned, he’s not going to looking out for the long term interests of the program.

I just freaked out with a “Who the hell is Ted Thompson? Man, this is bad.”

But I see it’s Davenport (get yourself a new map), but if he and Will Thompson can both take the field and count as one defender I’m in.

Dah crap, that’s what happens when half the backups on defense are freshmen I have never heard of.
