Though starting cornerback Donnie Fletcher (back) was hopeful yesterday about playing in Boston College’s season-opener against Northwestern, head coach Frank Spaziani termed the senior co-captain as doubtful for Saturday’s game.
If Fletcher can’t go, that would make true freshman Albert Louis-Jean as the starter and it would mean that three of the four defensive backs — free safety Hampton Hughes and boundary corner C.J. Jones being the other two — would be making their first collegiate starts. Strong safety Jim Noel started eight games last year….
