BC held its third scrimmage of the summer and the biggest news to come out of it was yet another injury. Andre Williams had to leave the scrimmage due to an injury:

"Sophomore tailback Rolandan Finch carried the ball 13 times for 44 yards while Andre Williams recorded seven rushes for 42 yards, including an 18-yard gain in the scrimmage's opening series, and Tahj Kimble rushed five times for 13 yards. Williams participation was cut short after seven carries because of an ankle sprain."

Earlier this week we all heard the news that Montel Harris would be out 3-4 weeks after having surgery on his knee. Now BC fans are hit with another injury that could impact their offensive scheme. The severity of Williams sprain has not yet been determined, but we are now less than two weeks away from the Northwestern game so missing the opener sounds likely.

With two Boston College running backs shelved, who is left? Tahj Kimble and Rolandan Finch who have a combined 7 rushes for 28 yards in their collegiate careers. Losing Harris was a tough, but he was replaceable. Now down the only two running backs with experience, expectations from our running game is getting a little hairy.  Is BC going to have to stick with the pass the first week or will a useable running back emerge from Kimble and Finch.

Another tough day for BC fans which will likely lead to even more pressure for Chase Rettig to carry the offense.
