Boston College Basketball: Eagles Face Providence At The Dunk On December 8

But wait, there's more!

Providence men's basketball head coach and former Boston College assistant Ed Cooley announced the Friars' 2011-12 non-conference schedule on Wednesday. PC's home hoops schedule is highlighted by a non-conference game against the Eagles. The Eagles will travel to the Dunk to take on the Friars on Thursday, December 8.

Last year, Donahue the Eagles escaped with a 88-86 home victory over PC. Reggie Jackson finished with 26 points, seven boards and four assists in the victory, while Providence's Marshon Brooks had 28 points and 10 rebounds. Lucky for us, Marshon Brooks is no longer at Providence having been drafted by the NJ Nets in the first round of this year's NBA Draft. Unlucky for us, so was Reggie Jackson.

Boston College has won three straight over our Dominican Catholic rivals to the south, though it is PC that holds a 57-48 edge in the all-time series.

Scheduled Boston College basketball games below:

Thursday, November 24 vs. Saint Louis (76 Classic, ESPNU)
Friday, November 25 vs. Villanova / UC Riverside (76 Classic)
Sunday, November 27 vs. New Mexico / Santa Clara / Oklahoma / Washington State (76 Classic)
Wednesday, November 30 vs. Penn State (Big Ten/ACC Challenge)
Thursday, December 8 at Providence
Monday, January 2 vs. Rhode Island

Blockquoted paragraph Lucky for us, Marshon Brooks is no longer at Providence having been drafted by the NJ Nets in the first round of this year’s NBA Draft. Unlucky for us, so was Reggie Jackson.

That’s about as good as you’ll get from me in August for a hoops game in December. Ha.
