Boston College Daily Links: Receiving Corps Has Something To Prove

Boston College offense well-received (Boston Herald)
“That’s something I emphasized to our guys,” Larmond said. “It’s like, ‘Look, we have a lot to prove because last year they counted you guys out always. They had nine guys in the box and they had two guys on the outside. This year we have to change that.”

Brad Henson camped at Boston College this summer and really hit it off with the coaching staff so it was good news when the Eagles decided to offer after the workout.

Picking Every Game On The Schedule (Backing The Pack)
Week 11: at Boston College. Ever since Matt Ryan graduated, the Eagles have been insistent on taking the most unwatchable route to bowl eligibility possible. They had the league's best defense a year ago, and though the search for a suitable heir to Ryan's throne goes on, they'll find 6-7 wins in there somewhere. I get the feeling this game will give them one of those wins. It's premium quality defenses like this one that are really going to make Glennon look like a first-year quarterback.

ACC Atlantic Division Pre-Season Football RoundTable Part 1 (All Sports Discussion)
@KilroyFSU:  The division will finish with FSU on top, Wake Forest on the bottom, and you may as well roll dice or draw straws to pick the order of #2 through #5.  I’ll go out on a limb and predict an order though:  1. Florida State, 2. Clemson, 3. Maryland, 4. North Carolina State, 5. Boston College, and 6. Wake Forest.

@CUBOSCO: Luke Kuechly is a consummate throwback. He came in as a freshman and anchored the BC defense while Mark Herzlich was sidelined. I saw him in person last year when Clemson traveled to Chestnut Hill and he is all man. He may not have all the sexy measureables that will make Mel Kiper go gah-gah, though at 6’3” 237 lbs he just might bring a twinkle to Kiper’s eye. He is physical, he is always in the right place.

Woodbridge's Darius Parson commits to Syracuse for football (InsideNova)
Parson, who was offered by Syracuse in May, had not received any other scholarship offers. Schools like Boston College, Michigan State, Ohio, Old Dominion, Rutgers and Marshall were showing heavy interest he said, but backed off from extending an offer because of Parson’s academic situation. The fact that Syracuse still offered Parson meant a lot to him.
