The 137th running of the Kentucky Derby will take place this Saturday. The draw will be announced today starting at 5 PM. Even though we don't yet know the draft, we do know who the horses will be.

Unfortunately for Superfans, there isn't a horse named York's Sweater Vest or 55 Flood Tip, so it might be a bit hard to determine which horse is the one you want to back. Let's see if we can help you out.

If You're Choosing Based On Name...

Your best bet here is Twinspired. While the horse isn't named for Boston College's "Towers on the Heights," we can always pretend. Gasson Hall's newly renovated, 97-year-old spire is the most famous of the schools towers, but I suppose if you had to pair Gasson's spire with another on campus, you'd probably go with Bapst Library, right?

Some other options include Midnight Interlude, if you want to bemoan BC's lack of a basketball Midnight Madness. (But ... but ... we have Ice Jam!). Go with Brilliant Speed if you want to rep the Boston College Eagles hockey team. Finally, if you support the Most Interesting Man in the World, Frank Spaziani, than surely your horse is Stay Thirsty"I don't always know how to run an offense, but when I do, I prefer running Montel Harris up the middle ..."

If You're Choosing Based On Colors...

You have no choice but to root for Florida Derby winner and Kentucky Derby favorite Dialed In. Not only is that an awesome name for a horse, but jockey Julien Leparoux will be repping the maroon and gold. Close enough, anyhow.

If you are looking for a horse to root against, then your villian is Master of Hounds, who will be wearing what appears to be a Notre Dame / Duke / UConn blue.

If You're Choosing Based On Jockey Name...

In this case, rooting for Shackleford is a no-brainer, whose jockey is Jesus Castanon. Currently at 20-1, betting on Shackleford appears to be easy money, considering the Big Guy upstairs will undoubtedly look out for his only son.
