Win! Spaz Lands First Recruit For Class Of 2012
Spaz is finally off the schneid on the recruiting front for the Class of 2012, landing 6-4, 240-pound offensive tackle Win Homer. Homer gives the Eagles the first solid verbal commitment of the season, making the announcement on Facebook.
The Christchurch School (Virginia) product chose BC over offers from Virginia Tech, Virginia and N.C. State. Seems like a really good get, especially when you consider BC lands the Virginia product over the two in-state ACC schools and Tom O'Brien and N.C. State.
Hopefully Homer can continue the line of outstanding offensive linemen that have played on the Heights.
Also, let's hope this is a sign of good things to come from Spaz on the recruiting trail. The Eagles still trail all other ACC schools except for Wake Forest on the recruiting front. Virginia Tech already has 11 commits for the Class of 2012, while Florida State leads the Atlantic Division with nine verbal commitments.

Whew!
I thought Spaz was going to follow the Al Skinner retirement program – not recruit anyone one year and phone it in the next.
Art Majors?
So, now the Eagles will have Paul Gaugin and Win (slow) Homer? What’s with the artists?

Vincent Van Gogh is on Spaz’s radar as well but because of character issues (mental health) he is leaning towards USC and Ohio State.
