Boston College To Host Penn State In 2011 Big Ten-ACC Challenge
The school, along with ESPN, announced today that BC will host Penn State in this year's 2011 Big Ten-ACC Challenge. The two schools will play on the second day of the challenge, November 30.
Interesting to note that BC will host a Big Ten-ACC Challenge game for the second straight season. This year, the Eagles will be the only ACC team to benefit from back-to-back home games in the Challenge. With Nebraska making the B1G Ten an even dozen, some adjustments to the alternating home-road schedule had to be made to accommodate the Huskers.
From the Big Ten, Minnesota benefits from playing in back-to-back home games this year, while Michigan and Indiana (BC's 2010 opponent) are forced to hit the road in consecutive Challenge games.
While Penn State isn't exactly a hoops program with a lot of cache, the Nittany Lions should be a good test for an extremely young Eagles' team. Last season, Penn State went just 16-13 (9-9 Big Ten) during the regular season, but managed to play its way into the NCAA Tournament with a deep run in the Big Ten Tournament. The Nittany Lions lost to Temple in the first round, 66-64.

Could be worse
Like you said, it should be a good test for our young team.
I wondering how they go about picking these games- all TV related, do B1G officials and ACC officials argue it out to see who plays where? Reason I ask is it seems like ESPN would have done all they can to get UNC vs. OSU- Sullinger vs. Henson, Zeller, McAdoo and co.
Good Matchup
Both teams losing a lot from last year. Should be a good game.

Talor Battle will still be at Penn State, should be a nice low scoring game, 45-38?
That being said, this game is destined to be only seen on ESPNU or the Ocho.
Talor Battle
I thought he’s gone. ESPN said he is a senior.

I did that once for a preview of North Dakota in the Frozen Four a few years back, claiming that they still had Toews a year after he graduated. The Fighting [REDACTED] fans never let me hear the end of it.
