NCAA Tournament Friday: Hockey And Hoops TV Schedule

Big night of college sports viewing tonight as the NCAA men's ice hockey tournament begins, as well as the second half of the NCAA men's basketball tournament's Sweet 16.

Here is today's TV viewing schedule.

NCAA Hockey

3:00 PM: (3) Minnesota-Duluth vs. (2) Union, ESPNU or ESPN3.com
5:30 PM: (3) Nebraska-Omaha vs. (2) Michigan, ESPN3.com
6:30 PM: (4) Air Force vs. (1) Yale, ESPNU or ESPN3.com
9:00 PM: (4) Colorado College vs. (1) Boston College, ESPNU or ESPN3.com

In addition, you can catch a replay of the UNO-Michigan game at 11:30 PM on ESPNU.

Rooting interest: In the East Regional, I'm pulling for Union and Air Force. Union, because I think the WCHA is a tad bit overvalued. Air Force, because I think Yale is a tad bit overvalued. In the West's other matchup, I'd much rather the Eagles face UNO than Michigan, but York and the boys have to take care of business against CC first.

NCAA Men's Basketball

7:15 PM: (11) Marquette vs. (3) North Carolina, CBS
7:27 PM: (12) Richmond vs. (1) Kansas, TBS
9:45 PM: (4) Kentucky vs. (1) Ohio State, CBS
9:57 PM: (11) Virginia Commonwealth vs. (10) Florida State, TBS

Rooting interest: My bracket is completely shot, so while it doesn't matter much, I'm still rooting for Kansas over Richmond (the Jayhawks were my National Champ pick). Kentucky-Ohio State should be a good game, but I don't have a rooting interest in that one. Finally, as much as you might hate UNC and/or Florida State, the rooting interest here is with the conference tonight. A-C-C! A-C-C!

Non-College Sports

8:00 PM: Jerry Maguire, Oxygen
9:00 PM: Ghostbusters II, Nick

Rooting interest: Rod Tidwell getting PAID, Vigo the Carpathian.
