According to multiple sources, the Vols head coach – who is the subject of an NCAA investigation in which he admitted to lying to the NCAA – was informed of the decision Monday morning by athletic director Mike Hamilton.

I don't really see dodging a bullet

He’s already gotten his suspension. I don’t really understand the firing. He’s still a really good coach. I’m terrified of him taking the job at Georgia Tech or NC State.
