3-2 Eagles

Onto the championship game. Great W for York’s squad…love how the team’s playing as we head into the stretch run of the season.

Eagles didn’t play nearly as well as they did Friday night against UMass. Did just enough tonight to get the W.

Hey now....

I would disagree slightly with that. UMass is terrible. I just dont think you can compare UMass with BU. BU played a tough, balls out game last night, which forced us to make mistakes. They fore-checked the bejeezus out of BC and made them turn the puck over. With that said, it wasn’t their greatest performance of the season, but they played well.

I know it was only UMass, but the games that I’ve seen of BC this year, the Eagles played their best hockey of the season Friday night. The final score 5-0 would have gotten out of hand if Dainton didn’t stand on his head for much of that game.

Agreed, however, they overcame some sloppy play by racheting up the offensive aggressiveness, and showed some grace under pressure on the penalty kill in the last 5 minutes of regulation.

It’s one thing to win while playing your best- another to pull out victories with B/B+ performances. We obviously can’t let teams hang around like that in the tournament, but still, I at least was pleased with the mettle the team showed with the game on the line.
