BC Interruption's Bowl Pick Em' Challenge (Join Or Perish)

It's that time of year again.

Bowl season is upon us, and although BC decided that they do not want to be part of this year's festivities, we as college football fans can still be excited. While some of us may grumble about Virginia Tech making the Sugar Bowl, or a rematch of LSU-Alabama, there are other ways to enjoy this season of glorified exhibition games. For instance, BC Interruption is proud to announce our 2011 Bowl Pick Em League.

This is really easy to do, and requires probably 5 minutes of your time.

All you need to do is go to the league page, make your picks, rank them in order of confidence, sit back and profit. It's that simple, well except the profit part. Will you be able to defeat the BCI guys? Let me just tell you I finished in the 1.1% in 2010, so most likely. But you never know, and it helps you stay interested in the Beef Brady Bowl and the Pinstripe Bowl and riveting matchups like N.C. State and Louisville. What are you waiting for, join up!

Oh, and as one little side note. Please try and make up entry names. It gets awfully boring when the league is filled with Conrad_Kaczmarcek_1's. Show a little originality. Let's see more Middle Schmiddle's, The Best Coach In 15 Years, and Going in the Right Directions! Don't make me mock you.

scoring Question

I want to make sure i did this right.

I am slighly confused about confidence points.

Say I think the Boise State game is closest bowl game to a lock, and I pick BSU to win. Would I put my confidence at 35? or at 1? I think it is supposed to be at 35 if this is my most confident projected win.

or say I am 50/50 about whether Clemson can win or not (who will show up?), I would score that a 1 if I am 50/50 on the game, correct?

let me know

I haven’t looked at this yet but I’m fairly certain you give the bowl you are most confident with 35 points.

This isn’t golf.

I have roughly no idea. I can’t find anywhere that clears it up.

Based on last year

The numbers are worth points. So it was 35 points for your most confident pick. I remember that specifically because I missed 34 points when Nebraska lost to Washington after dismantling them during the regular season…

Made the same mistake about Nebraska last year…

by D-Murph on Dec 6, 2011 4:06 PM EST up reply actions

We think even Mark Blaudschun made that mistake last year.

Where’s the option on the list to rank the volume of the DAGNABBIT! Spurrier will belt out when he loses to Nebraska?

Not even San Diego State over Louisiana-Lafayette?

by Brian Favat on Dec 6, 2011 9:43 PM EST up reply actions

Boise State over Arizona State?
Air Force over Toledo?
Houston over Penn State?
SMU over Pittsburgh?
Temple over Wyoming?

Central Florida over … oh, my B.

Sorry I should clarify. Current Big East, not the geographic money grab they are becoming
