Boston College Basketball To Play In 2012 Charleston Classic
With the Eagles set to visit sunny Anaheim next week for the 76 Classic, BC's 2012 holiday tournament destination also just game into focus.
The Post and Courier reports that Boston College will be participating in the 2012 Charleston Classic and will be joined by the College of Charleston, Baylor, Colorado, Dayton, Southern Illinois, St. John's and a team to be announced.
The Charleston Classic is a three-day invitational played at the Carolina First Arena, home of the College of Charleston. The tournament follows the same format as other ESPN-operated tournaments like the 76 Classic, with three games played over three days in mid-November.
Of the announced field, BC is most familiar with former Big East foe St. John's, with the Johnnies owning a 45-27 edge in the all-time series. The only other team BC has faced in school history is Southern Illinois, with the Eagles pulling out a 78-69 victory in the 1992 National Invitational Tournament. BC has never faced the College of Charleston, Baylor, Colorado or Dayton.
Good news for all you South Carolina Eagles (Jeff), as it looks like you'll be able to attend a few more Boston College hoops games next season.

I like this
Most of those teams should be around BC’s level next year. I’ve never been to Charleston but from what I’ve heard it’s beautiful. Not really a marquee tournament but the Eagles weren’t gonna get chosen for Maui, or MSG, or Puerto Rico
For a while there it was looking like Heslip might be playing in Conference USA 2.0 with Baylor.
