Haha

Let’s go boys. All cliches apply (records go out the window, etc.). Hoping to ride the momentum from Friday.

BC-72 BU-66

The young guys struggle against BU, but BC perseveres and wins.

(Can’t wait for BBAll season)

Real Prediction: BC-4 BU-2

You won’t be the only person in Florida watching one of these teams come April.

Two guesses which that team is …

HEA expansion FAIL

Remember, after Notre Dame and a 12th program are added to Hockey East, there will be one less regular season BC-BU game every year.

Thanks, Bertagna.

WZBC says its pretty packed, maybe its just the angle they are showing on TV. Hard to see what the upper bleachers and student sections look like.

BU is handing them opportunities with all these stupid penalties and BC isn’t converting or doing much of anything with them.

Worst period of the year by far.

And we played some pretty bad ones vs. Umass, Denver and Northeastern.

Just disgusting.

Terriers are annoying lap dogs that are perfect for shopping in Newbury St. salons. That’s what makes it a perfect mascot for BU.

I can't believe this.

This is a team that lost to Holy Cross, got shit on by UMass Lowell, and just plain sucks.

Are you kidding me with this crap? Seems pretty clear that the guys weren’t ready for this one. Which is mind boggling seeing as it is BU.

Congrats to HarryAgganis

Your boys whipped us good tonight. Boston U. moves up the power rankings and is now the third best college hockey program in the state behind UMass-Lowell and Holy Cross …

by Brian Favat on Nov 13, 2011 7:33 PM EST reply actions

Kieran Millan take a bow!

I’m sorry I couldn’t resist channeling my inner meter. Speaking of radio broadcasters, I thought it was crap that 98.5 didn’t air the BC broadcast this evening. The Patriots all day talk sploogefest couldn’t be postponed for the greatest rivalry in college sports, BostonMedia365CollegeSportsIgnorance#. It was a badly needed league win but the way this team is playing I still worry about even the USNDT under 18 exhibition. I think we can all agree that we wish our respective teams had our own Joe Cannata. Millan wasn’t tested much tonight and doesn’t give me much confidence on evenings when he does get tested. And hey Dumoulin to save a few elbows for the Canadians at the World Juniors this year. And not to leave out Spaz, anybody else surprised those Catholic Memorial kids didn’t decommit from Penn State? They could be this year’s Al-Louis

by HarryAgganis on Nov 13, 2011 8:19 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

Complaining about Dumoulin elbows when BU commits 16 penalties? C’mon, Harry.

by Brian Favat on Nov 13, 2011 8:24 PM EST up reply actions

I was merely feigning disgust about

the elbowing. As you’ve stated, the real disgust should be directed towards Cross and his effort. Pretty unacceptable for two of the best in the country.

by HarryAgganis on Nov 13, 2011 9:07 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

agree

Cross looked so sluggish and lazy along with dumoulin

by oneilltn on Nov 13, 2011 9:12 PM EST up reply actions

The refs prove once again they can’t keep a BC-BU game under control. 28 penalties. Ridiculous.

by Brian Favat on Nov 14, 2011 8:10 AM EST up reply actions

effort

That was one of the laziest efforts ive seen from a hockey team maybe ever. dumoulin and Cross looked horrible all night (especially dumoulin, he was just awful). Im worried about the depth at defense with wey out, and those two looking pretty bad over the past few games. Overall just a horrible effort tonight. we got beat to every puck and lost every battle.

by oneilltn on Nov 13, 2011 8:04 PM EST reply actions

Agreed

Dumo looked lost tonight.

by Brian Favat on Nov 13, 2011 8:11 PM EST up reply actions

Dumo

He’s looked lost the majority of the season. And now that Cross has decided to join him over these past few games, its going to be very difficult to stop opposing offenses, or control the puck for any extended period of time. They need to get it together, and fast. Nothing was worse than watching the BU students march through lower campus cheering over their victory. The hockey team embarrassed us tonight.

by oneilltn on Nov 13, 2011 8:18 PM EST up reply actions

Not going to win many (any?) games going 0-8 on the power play.

by Brian Favat on Nov 13, 2011 8:26 PM EST reply actions

Power Play

The power play looked ugly early on but started generating opportunities as the game went on. But then our horrendous shooting took over and ruined any chances we had at putting one in. Also really lazy play by the defensemen on the power play hurt us. They let multiple pucks out of the zone when they could have been held in easily by just making the extra effort. Very frustrating.

by oneilltn on Nov 13, 2011 8:28 PM EST up reply actions

Milner actually made a bunch of really good saves. Without, this one would have really gotten out of hand.
