Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

Senior offensive tackle Nate Richman, who’s missed five straight games with back problems, has been cleared to play tomorrow and will back up John Wetzel on the left side. Tailbacks Andre Williams (ankle) and Tahj Kimble (concussion) will be available.

Strong safety Spenser Rositano (leg) and fullback Danny Williams (shoulder) are questionable.

Linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis (ankle) and cornerback Jimmy Noel (ankle) are out. Sean Duggan will start in Pierre-Louis’ place for the third time.

Curious

Is Will Thompson that much of a drop off from Duggan? Why doesn’t Thompson start?

Sorta feel like Spaz intentionally favors youth over upperclassmen sometimes. Am I completely off base here?

best player plays, senority does not matter

Duggan is better.

Actually, he is pretty good. I am happy to see him get some serious PT.

I’m not suggesting seniority matters. I’m simply questioning how much better Duggan is over Thompson.

That said, it IS Senior Day and BC has nothing to play for other than that.

Duggan Better

He’s good, but I personally think Will is better without question. All you need to do is look at the running back situation and you can’t help but ask….wtf?! The best players definitely do not always get the nod. Or, in cases like Larmond, you don’t get the ball thrown to you. I find this type of thing more sickening than actually losing a game.

Andre Williams IS NOT the BC back of the future! Sorry, but he runs like an anemic ballerina. I’m not even sure he opens his eyes after crossing the line of scrimmage. Don’t even get me started…just look at a replay of the game. He’s falling down before he barely gets touched. And maybe it’s me, but I like how he was conveniently unavailable against the toughest run defenses in BC’s schedule.

No lie. I took a friggin nap at halftime.

Richman doubtful

I heard he was not paying attention yesterday when he was clipping his toe nails with a sharp nail cutter. Well, wouldn’t ya know, he cut one nail really, really short and now is uncomfortable walking. It really hurts. Richman now needs to wait a week for the nail to re-grow, Sh@t happens. Oh, well.
