Boston College Depth Chart For Clemson Game

Here is the startng crew of the SS Walking Dead, or the Boston College Eagles. I actually got a chuckle out of this week's depth crew. If you look back to Coach Spaziani's press conference last weekend he said "Right now, we have to shuffle some guys".

So we did he do? Hardly anything. He toggled around a few of his offensive linemen, moving Mark Spinney back in to center, and starting Bobby Vardaro. Fantastic, so a week after your offensive line basically just stood there, missed tons of blocks and let WF do what they wanted on defense Spaz decides to shuffle them again. That is probably the worst thing you could do. How the heck are they going to learn their assignments if they are constantly juggling around the starting line up. Injuries can't be blamed for that either, as Nathan Richman has basically been out all year, yet Spaz continues to tinker with the starters. Clemson defenders must be licking their chops.

And on defense he took out Connor O'Neal and put in Dominic Appiah, even after Appiah appeared completely ineffective against Wake Forest. Makes sense. No other changes than that. Great work Spaz!

You mean this?
Just a note to the hundreds of bloggers out there. Tons of emotions have been shed onto Coach Spaz and Gene.“Fire him for this and for that”. These guys are just the face of BC and the punching bag for the failure that one program is currently having. Step outside the box for one second. The coaches whom work for Coach Spaz have as much to blame. Suggest Gene fire them and bring in some talented guys to get the job done. Several conferences have done just that and turned their programs around. I think its time for those other coaches to get some deserved negative publicity for their salaries too.

I have been grappling with the whole “Fire Spaz” meme on the blogs myself, but then came to the realization that:

Spaz makes seven figures a year, and sucks at his job.

It would take me several years to haul in the type of cash Spaz gets annually, and I’m much better at my job (both professionally and here at BCI) than Spaz has been. Rationalized in this way, I think the criticism is certainly justified.

Agreed!!

Maybe u should just become their next coach?! I mean u probably know more about recruiting, scouting other teams, getting your team prepared, and whats that big one, yes coaching!! oh and to understand that at the age of 80 its about time to move on…

If I can take credit

Before I came to BCI I was trolling around the internet with a giant “FIRE SPAZ” profile pic for most of last season. Just sayin’
