Final Pregame Thoughts: Maryland Game
Ok, finally BC is handed an opponent that they can handle. Let's be honest, did any of really think this team had a chance against Virginia Tech or Clemson? If you did then you need to lay off the GDF juice. Maryland is a bad team, maybe not as bad as BC, but still a bad team. They have no QB, their defense is even worse than ours, and their head coach and offensive coordinator are about as incompetent as ours.
Will this lead to a win for the Eagles? That is the million dollar question this weekend.
Big Questions
Who will Randy Edsall and Gary Crowton start at QB? Danny O'Brien is really struggling with the spread offense, and C.J Brown has stepped up but could we honestly see both tomorrow? If there is any quarterback situation that BC should dominate its a team without an identifiable starter. Could Spaz put together two halves of what we saw in the first half of the VT game?
Also we saw earlier today that Kevin Pierre Louis is out for the game. Sean Duggan will get his first start. How will our St. Xavier linebacking corp respond to the loss of one of their stalwarts?
Lingering Questions
Even with Maryland's atrocious defense, can Boston College finally put more than 14 points against a FBS team? Was last week's game a fluke for Rolandan Finch? Will this be a shootout or a low scoring ugly game?
Gametime Song of the Week
As a tribute to the lovely state of Maryland, I picked one of the few old school rappers that actually lived in Baltimore. Tupac Shakur. I wanted to pick "Hit Em Up" and dedicate it to the Big East, but I thought that might be just a tad too vulgar for some of our readers. Instead, let's slow things down and groove a little to "Keep Ya Head Up" and dedicate it to all the BC and Maryland fans who have dealt with an inordinate amount of crap this season.
Today's reading from the Spaz Firematic 3000:9. I didn't expect much from the old Spazmeister last week, and he came through with flying colors. Therefore the meter will stay at a consistent 9. Defense showed up for one quarter, the offense showed up for a couple of drives, and that's about it. To give Spaz some credit at least he didn't throw his players under the bus this week. That's a plus at this point right?
Liquor To Help Dull The Pain:
(via useless information)
If we are to the point that we need to drink to dull the pain against a team like Maryland, you are going to need something cheap like malt liquor. Plus, if you are like me, you want to forget BC's losses as fast as humanly possible. Malt liquor can do just that. Unfortunately the next morning you will feel a pounding in your head that feels like your skull is about to rupture in half, and remind you of the game for the next two days.
Alternative Profession for Frank Spaziani Poolboy in Florida. I don't know why but I can just imagine Spaz by the side of the pool hamming it up with a bunch of blue haired old women.
Baldwin Jr's Game Preview:
HI EVERYBODYS! BEECUZ I DIDS A GRATE JOB LAS WEAK I GOT TOO PROJEK AGAAIN! DIS WEAK BASTIN COLEGE FECES MARY LAND TERTLE HEADS. DID YU KNOWS THAT LAS WEAKEND GAINST TURKEY BIRDS I CAULED OFENSE AN DFENCE PLAYS IN DA TURD AND FIRTH HALFS? CULD YOU TELL?
DIS WEAK I'S THINK BEECEE MATCHES UP AWESOMELY GAINST TERTLES. CHAZ RETIG WILL THROW FUTBAL FOR 400 YARDS AND BAWSTIN COLEGE WILL WIN BY 35. MY SUPR C-CRET MVP OF DA GAME WILL BE IFANY MOMAR. HE'S TALLER DEN BALDWEN JEWNUR!
A.J's Lock Solid Prediction: Maryland 20 Boston College 13.
Go ahead guys, yell at me again. But at this point I am going to pick against BC until they can show me otherwise. This is a road game, and I think Randy Edsall will pull out all the stops to beat the team he wanted to coach. True the teams are evenly matched, but I factor Frank Spaziani into every game, and I think the more the injuries that pile up for BC, the lower the chances.
Superfan Thermometer: How are you all feeling about this weekend's game against Maryland? Feeling nervous and want to throw up like I do? Think BC has another 2007 in there somewhere? Make sure you leave your thoughts in the comments. Go Eagles!

I have BC here
If the weather were nicer I would predict a 27 -17 win. If it’s sloppy weather…BC 20 …MD 13. I’ve been sold on Finch even when he was the 4th back. Who knows what that was about, but I’m calling it insane. I think he has his running feet back after all that time off and mop up time. My prediction…Finch gets 120 -130 on the ground and another 20 – 40 as a relief passing option. If the ball is dry…I wouldn’t be surprised if he went ballistic and approached 200 yards. I don’t think the BC fans really understand how good this kid is because the more he gets the ball, the better he gets. He’s a work horse. This isn’t the same MD team that played Miami.
Phil Steele is loving him some Deuce too ... fantasy sleeper this week
Rolandan Finch RB Boston College vs. Maryland:
Finch appears to have taken the reigns on the Boston College backfield with his recent play. He has 37 carries over the past two games and is averaging about 85 yards per game on the ground. This could be the week he really explodes when he faces a pathetic Maryland rush defense that surrenders 215 yards per game. Finch could easily shred the Terrapins defense for well over 100 yards and find pay dirt at least one time. This BC back looks like a real nice #2 guy this week, especially in BCS only leagues.

The blog prediction round up
Soaring to glory
Let’s go 17-14. [Maryland] I doubt any prediction which has BC scoring 20 or more points, mainly because they have yet to prove they can do it against a team better than UMass.

Eagle in Atlanta
I don’t know why, but I have a good feeling this week. I actually think we will pull out a close, hard fought game. We are due for somethings to break our way and I think Maryland has many issues too. I think BC gets up early and holds off a late comeback from the Terps.
Final Score: BC 27, Maryland 24.
BCI # 1 (while slumming on a Terp site)
I’ll go Maryland 17, Boston College 14. As it stands, the BC offense is only really good for two TDs a game. Don’t think that’ll be enough to beat the Terps in College Park
bCI #2
A.J’s Lock Solid Prediction: Maryland 20 Boston College 13.

BC Draft (Wesley)
I’m making a bold prediction here, we score 24 {which we haven’t
against div 1) and we win. That’s all
BC Draft (mike)
Point is our guys need to step up and make big plays when they have the chance. We make big plays on Saturday, I think we walk away with a W.
Verdict
bCI guys live up to rep for pessimism
STG has lost all hope
ATL. — after two weeks on dark side of predictions, he is back. Nice. And correct
BCmike – not real a prediction at all. Sounds like a politician
Wesley – nails it. Enthusiasm for our guys. Luv it. And I agree
Waterwater- BC 34 – MD 21
Verdict: ww apparently doesn’t remember what he writes from week to week …
In other words, Spaz is able to do a lot of damage everyvyear he is in charge.
Sadly, BC is utterly non-competitive in FBS ball! This week we should fall to the worst FBS AQ school in the nation. Does anyone care at BC? Next thing will be Suntrup transferring!
Maryland also a FBS AQ school. Last week you thought we were the worst in the nation. Clearly this week the worst FBS AQ team in the country is going to go on the road and beat Maryland. Clearly.

Still sore about your serving of crow this morning
U misread by post. I was pointing out we were ranked (by others, not me) last. Not that we are going to lose to Maryland.
Wow, someone does not likes some light hearted ribbing!
I see what u deleted.
And remember this

I thought nobody read my site

Baldwin Jr. has bounced on his head one too many times. But can he do this?
