CFN’s Updated Bowl Projections: A Nashville New Years For BC?

College Football News has updated their 2010-11 bowl projections to reflect the results of Week 4, and they now have BC traveling to Nashville to take on the Georgia Bulldogs.

December 30, 2010 Nashville, TN
Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl 6:30 pm ESPN
ACC No. 6 vs. SEC No. 7
Projection: Boston College vs. Georgia

It’s still ridiculously early, but with the direction both the BC and Georgia programs have taken after the first few weeks of the season, it’s an entirely plausible scenario. If it is Eagles-Bulldogs in Nashville, it would be a rematch of the 2001 Music City Bowl, when an unranked BC squad took down a No. 16 ranked Georgia team. The Eagles’ 01 Music City Bowl win was arguably the best bowl wins of the Eagles’ seven consecutive bowl wins from 2000-2007.

Thoughts? Would you attend the Music City Bowl if it was against a big name SEC program like Georgia?

If I can't make a BCS bowl, I will accept Nashville for New Years

Nashville is well worth the trip.
