Series: Virginia Tech leads the all-time series 12-6.

Trends: The Hokies have lost their last two trips to Chestnut Hill and haven't won at BC since 2002. The Hokies are 6-0 in ACC openers, while the Eagles are just 2-3 in ACC openers (3-2 in their first ACC home game of the season). Since joining the conference, BC is 15-5 in conference home games.

BC hasn't played a two-loss Hokies team since Virginia Tech went into the 2003 matchup with a record of 8-2. Since that season, BC has faced a Virginia Tech team that was 7-0 (2005), 4-1 (2006), 6-1 (2007), 5-1 (2008) and 4-1 (2009). 

BC is 0-6 against the spread in each of their last six games.
