Miami probably played a bit better in the first period. BC finally gets off the schnide on the power play.

I turned it on just in time to see the goal
the train I was supposed to take home so i could get back in time for the game ended up getting cancelled because there someone crossing the tracks that got killed. Needless to say I did not make it back in time for the start of the game. How are we looking?
Game about even. Shots 5-5. Miami’s goalie looks pretty shaky. RedHawks definitely won the first 10 minutes but we came back strong in the last 10 minutes.

Ice Conditions
… will be a factor going forward. Ice looks pretty beat up. Guys are losing their sticks, whiffing on pucks. The puck is taking some weird bounces behind the net too.

I think its great that you can get 30,000 people into a football stadium for the Frozen Four. But after watching the puck stick in spots behind the net and take crazy bounces on this chopped up, half melted ice, I’m getting tired of the gimmick. At least BC is winning.

Yeah, this football stadium Frozen Four thing was a cute little experiment, but I hope never again.

Joe Whitney with the goal. Dumoulin and Gibbons with the assist.

It’s the NCAAs. Every second of this damn tournament makes me nervous.

BC dominates the second period. 20:00 to go, boys.

I was a big fan of their defense in the second half of that period. I didn’t see what the shot count was, but they were breaking up a lot of passes, blocking some shots, and just all around not letting Miami take control.
At one point, the shots were 11-2 in the second period. BC has played very well defensively so far. Probably the best they’ve played all season. Having all your starting defensemen certainly helps.

21-1-2
BC is 21-1-2 when leading after 2 periods. Let’s do this.

It's about time
… that the school got the BC band uniforms that matched the team. When did that happen?

Having watched these guys all year...
I can say this is the best game they have played all season. Score notwithstanding, Miami is a good team. They just didn’t match up well with a faster BC team. BC has played fantastic on both ends, hope they keep it up on Saturday night, Wisconsin is gonna be a tough out.
I agree. Defense has been the key. Best defense of the night.
I’ve also been really critical of Patch Alber all season, so it’s great to see him get into the scoring column for the first time in his career.

They look great. I forgot how much I love watching BC hockey. I need to find a way to watch more games next season. It’s a shame college hockey gets no love over here.
