Gunnell, McLaughlin and Bowman Sign Free Agent Contracts

While Matt Tennant was the only Eagle drafted in this year's NFL Draft, three other BC guys picked up free agent contracts on Saturday. According to various reports, WR Rich Gunnell signed with the Chiefs, LB Mike McLaughlin landed with the Baltimore Ravens and S Marcellus Bowman signed with Denver

Hopefully these guys will stick around and sign with these teams. Gunnell probably has a decent shot with the Chiefs, as KC will be breaking in a new offensive coordinator (Charlie Weis) and a second year starting QB (Matt Cassel). McLaughlin could get a shot on the Ravens special teams unit.

Finally, here is what the SB Nation Denver Broncos blog had to say about Marty Bowman:

"The right measurables get him on the board, and he is just a hair short of being an obvious priority free agent on talent alone. His height is good, and he is strong at the line, so he'll get a bit longer look."

Be sure to check out SB Nation's NFL blogs for more information on BC's UDFA signings: Arrowhead Pride (Kansas City Chiefs), Baltimore Beat Down (Ravens)  and Mile High Report (Denver Broncos).

I was shocked McLaughlin wasn’t drafted in the 6th or 7th.

I really think

Gunnel could be a great diamond in the rough pick as a slot reciever.
