The BC women's soccer team is in the College Cup for the first time in program history, and are just two wins away from a National Championship. Standing in their way is a familiar foe, the 22-0-2 Stanford Cardinal. The Eagles opened at home against Stanford this season (a 1-1 tie) and were bounced from last year's NCAA's by the Cardinal in the quarterfinals.
You can catch the game on national TV. Cheer on the Eagles as they attempt to take home the National title. The game is on ESPNU starting at (approximately) 6:30 PM EDT, 45 minutes after the first semifinal between Notre Dame and Ohio State.
Leave your thoughts on the game below. Go Eagles!

SO far 0-0
Stanford is playing like the number 1 team in the nation, great passing and movement, all around Christen Press.
BC in typical BC fashion is gutting this one out with physical play. Let’s hope we can contain this offensive juggernaut and get them on the counter
0-0 at half
Lucky to be tied. Hopefully we can pull off the upset with a goal in the second.
Concern: Stanford and FSU went to 0-0 at the half. Final score: 5-0 Stanford.

Gulp
Doesn’t help that Stanford is like a gazillion and 0 when scoring first.

Where's the build up
i’ll be the first to admit that i have not watched many BC soccer games this year, but our super defensive approach is much better than this offensive approach we have switched to in the second half. There is absolutely no build up in midfield, and our offensive flow is non-existent.
Hindsight 20/20
Should have faked the shot, cut it back and walked in for the equalizer.

she could have also
rainbowed it over the keeper caught it in her shirt and then dropped it in front of goal flipped up her collar, said au revoir and punched it in. :)
College soccer has some different rules from normal soccer. From what I know, there are time outs and unlimited substitutions versus 0 time outs and 3 subs (none of which can return to play)
This is one of the reasons that college players are often ill-prepared for professional soccer. You need to learn to pace your stamina and not expect to run your heart out, come out for a breather, then go back in and run your heart out (repeat).
